In April this year, Arizona welcomed Heidi’s Village, an animal shelter and veterinary clinic that’s the first of its kind. A 48,000 SF animal welfare organization, Heidi’s Village partners with existing animal shelters and rescue organizations to provide temporary boarding for dogs and cats when their space and resources are limited. The shelter’s mission is to foster a community where animals are treated with respect, dignity, and compassion. One of their main goals is to also decrease the number of animals abandoned and euthanized.
Made up of nine buildings, Heidi’s Village’s central administration facility houses admin services, adoption services, training rooms, grooming services, and a complete veterinary clinic. This central area is then surrounded by the remaining eight buildings, where they create temporary homes for up to 200 cats and 250 dogs. Cats and dogs surrendered to Heidi’s Village will be available for adoption as soon as they are cleared medically and behaviorally.
You’ll find fun, animal-themed décor throughout this state-of-the-art shelter, creating a fun and upbeat atmosphere. Life-size animal portraits, paw prints on the ceilings, and quirky street signs makes for an inviting space. The cherry on top? Our very own custom-made dog collar chandelier in the main lobby of the organization. The rings are the Avalon series that have been customized with RAL powder coat colors. Next, the buckle was cut out of sheet metal and welded together right here at Camman. Finally, the tag is acrylic with a digitally printed vinyl overlay that was made by a local vendor.
